Living in Narnia

"One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock...
When you said, "Seek My face," My heart said to You, "Your face, Lord, I will seek."
...I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord."
Psa 27: 4-5, 8, 13-14

When all seems to collapse around you what do you do? When your feelings are raging all around out of control what do you do?

Beneath the raging winds of emotions there yet lies a sea of calm. There is pain, but not despair. There is disappointment, but there is hope. There is sadness, but there is joy. Beneath it all shines that glimmer, that spark, that faint light, that tells you that it is all going to be okay. Yes, you may feel this and feel that, but the truth remains, that it is all going to be okay. That is the Holy Spirit speaking. And our God is in control. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul..."

Hold fast to the promises of God's Word. Hold fast to what you know of Him and how He has worked in your life. Remember how He has always worked everything for good; remember how He has never let you down; remember how He has always been faithful, through your unfaithfulness and despair. We do not know what's best; He does. We are incapable of steering our lives in the right direction, but He has that power and is waiting to exercise it. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall make your paths straight..."

From If I Stand by Rich Mullins,

If I stand let me stand on the promise, that you will pull me through
And if I can't let me fall on the grace that first brought me to You
